Date: 6 December 2016 (Tuesday) Time: 14:30 Venue: FHKI
Funded by the SME Development Fund of the Trade and Industry Department, HKSAR Government, the captioned sharing session was held at FHKI on 6 Dec 2016. Eric Sun, Chairman of the Hong Kong Plastics Manufacturers Association (HKPMA) expressed his gratitude to the guest speakers for their inspiring presentations and discussion.
Samples from the K Fair exhibition and the factory visits were shown on top of the presentation materials so that participants could be rendered a direct experience on the latest plastics materials. For instance, Felix Choi, Managing Director of Hongrita Mold Ltd, shared with us the robotic application as an alternative technology in automation for microcellular foam injection moulding such as Profoam and CellMold; whilst Samson Suen, Principal Consultant of Hong Kong Productivity Council talked about the integrated manufacturing technology for one step manufacturing of metal and plastic components. Through the sharing session and business networking, participants can take good use of this platform to grasp some insights from the market and exchange innovative plastics technologies to broaden their horizons over the plastics industry.
This event is one of the deliverables under the funding project titled “Technology Advancement of Hong Kong Plastics Industry to Tap into the Opportunities under the Strategies of “Made in China 2025” and “Industry 4.0” ” , applied by HKPMA with FHKI as implementation agent. More events are coming within this 2-year project period to encourage the local plastics industry players to explore technological advancement to upgrade themselves.
