Explore Industry 4.0: Factory Visit to JMI & Fujikon

Funded by the SME Development Fund of the Trade and Industry Department, HKSAR Government, the captioned factory visit was organised by the Hong Kong Plastics Manufacturers Association (HKPMA) on 26 April 2017. Eric Sun, Chairman of HKPMA, lead a delegation of 42 industrial players to Jing Mei Industrial Ltd. (JMI) and Fujikon Industrial Holdings Ltd. (Fujikon)
During the visit to JMI, the delegation visited the waste reduction system as well as the Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) System which has been newly developed and acted as one of the advanced production keys driving the success of JMI. At Fujikon, the delegation visited the R&D centre of acoustic manufacturing and discovered the operation of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to learn more how enterprises can steer towards Industry 4.0.
This visit is one of the deliverables under the funding project titled ‘Technology Advancement of Hong Kong Plastics Industry to Tap into the Opportunities under the Strategies of “Made in China 2025” and “Industry 4.0”’, applied by HKPMA and implemented by FHKI. More activities will be arranged during the project period to encourage the local plastics industry players to explore in the field of technological advancement.
