Injecting Innovation: The Future of Plastics Technologies

Funded by the SME Development Fund of the Trade and Industry Department, HKSAR Government, the captioned Conference was held at InnoCentre on 4 Nov 2016. The Honourable Nicholas W. Yang, JP, Secretary for Innovation and Technology of HKSAR Government was invited to be the Guest-of- Honour of the Conference. Eric Sun, Chairman of the Hong Kong Plastics Manufacturers Association (HKPMA) expressed his appreciation for five guest speakers for their inspiring presentations during the Conference.

Over 180 participants attended the Conference with 10 companies partaking in showcasing and displaying their plastics products and technologies. All the plastics industry players fruitfully explored the latest innovative plastics technologies and expanded their network through business matching, which made the Conference magnificent and rewarding.

The Conference is one of the highlighted deliverables under the funding project titled “Technology Advancement of Hong Kong Plastics Industry to Tap into the Opportunities under the Strategies of “Made in China 2025” and “Industry 4.0” ” , which is applied by HKPMA with FHKI as implementation agent. More events are coming within this 2-year project period to provide a platform for local industry players to upgrade themselves.
